As part of its 2040 strategy to promote cultural and artistic innovations. A state-of-the-art centre for arts and culture is being built. Under one roof the centre will include facilities such as F&B outlets, cinema, and art clubs.
We are hiring an ambitious and forward-thinking senior commercial manager to join our established and growing team in Oman.

- Works as part of the construction delivery team, taking direction from construction lead and project senior leadership team (SLT), providing guidance to wider team.
- Promotes and drives the businesses priorities through construction to production, digital & data and responsible business.
- Understands and formulates short-term plans to deliver to programme, able to communicate with and coordinate trade/sub-contractors.
- owns safety, wellbeing and quality deliverables for specific sections of the project.
- Contributes to establishing and maintaining health, safety and wellbeing culture onsite.
- Supports managers in leading focused forecast lookahead meetings, providing authority and guidance where required.
- Develops and maintains strong relationships with client and design CMT, knowing QA process to final sign-off.
- Provides comprehensive technical expertise and understanding of Mace onsite standards for each part of the project, where to find them, and responsible for implementation.
- Identifies and implements continuous improvement and plans, identifies key business improvements.
- Develops and maintain a series of both internal and external relationships.
- Works collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition and share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work.
- Detailed knowledge of construction methodology, process and inherent safety involved.
- Detailed knowledge of digital platforms and how to implement onsite.
- Detailed knowledge of Mace standards, where to find them, and how to implement them.
- Proven experience in managing multiple large packages of work.

You’ll need to have:
- Membership of MCIOB / MAPM / MRICS / MICE or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development.
- Construction management expertise.
- Developing commercial and financial acumen.
- Experience leading parts of construction projects within large, diverse teams.
- Experience of building relationships with key stakeholders.
- Completed Apprenticeship (or equivalent).
- Relevant NVQ or HNC (Or equivalent).
- Experience in a site based Managerial role (or equivalent).
- SMSTS and managerial/professional CSCS card.
You'll also need:
- Planning and budget management experience.
- Aware of industry technology and advances.
- Sound technical expertise in HSE regulations.
- Offering an experienced perspective to all site operations, exploring new and innovative methods
- Clearly communicates and ensures that each direct/ indirect report knows their role and importance.
